You Can Achieve Your Goals

This is just a little post I thought I would write because I'M GRADUATING FROM UNIVERSITY !!! I honestly thought that I would never get to this point. All through school I would be the 'class clown' I mean, if you can't be clever just be funny, right? All through school to college, I was always told that I would never achieve anything or get into university and so after a while I just started believing it. I had in my mind that I wanted to be a comedian, the only skill I had was making people laugh and I enjoyed that. BUT YOU CAN DO IT.

You might be reading this and thinking "you must be smart to get into university though". Like no, that's not it at all. I legit got my English GCSE and that's it, I did Science, Health & Social Care and ITC as BTEC so that's how I ended up with technically four. I got into college by passing their own English and Maths tests, I mean i've had loads of jobs since being 18 so I must be doing something right. But the fact I always tell someone i'm in uni and they straight away think you're cleaver is so joke, I do photography so i'm not saying this could mean the same for someone doing Psychology its totally different i'm saying in my circumstances.

So anyway, through college I was always told I wouldn't get into university and even when I asked for ways to up my grade I was always told that they were 'too busy' like do you not want to see me achieve anything?! I ended up getting MMP when for the university I really wanted to go to accepted DMM, so I spent the last day of college just none stop crying and thought i'd failed at my dreams.

HOWEVER, after being told this I rang up my 'chosen uni' to see whether they would still accept me and they said that based on my interview I could have a place on the course, my portfolio itself had pleased them enough. My college even ended up sending my grades to them late, so whilst I was on holiday I officially didn't find out I was in uni till 3 days before I was due back home. It totally ruined my holiday and I don't understand why my college was doing this to me??!!!

But after all that, i've worked soooo hard these three years in uni even after one of my tutors wanted me kicked off the course at end of first year (why does everyone hate me) I'm just so proud of myself, i've proved that I can achieve something myself and I don't have to be clever I just have to have enough passion and faith in something.

I want you all to take from this, that if you ever get told you won't achieve anything or not get into your university choice GO PROVE THEM WRONG!!!

Life Update

Hi lovelies, long time.. no chat. Most of you probably haven't even noticed i've been away lol.

But, i've took some time off from blogging mainly to focus on my university work and my job. HOWEVER i can officially say that i've handed allll my work in (besides from my presentation, which is next week) I can't wait to just be officially finished and get my grades back next month. Third year has definitely been stressful, but i know that i've done all i can do so i just have to sit back and relax.

Another piece of news is that i've started my driving lessons (!!!!) i've been saving up since i was about 18 and got myself a savers account at the bank to do so, i'm so excited i'm finally getting them done. I wanted to do them as soon as I was back home from university, just because i wouldn't feel comfortable enough starting them in a different town.

I've only done 4 lessons at this point, and i'm not saying i'm amazing but they're going seriously well and my driving instructor is just the best.

That's all the updates i can give my life's pretty much just been work & uni work (how exciting)
I hope to be back to blogging twice a week though :)

8 Date Ideas To Do In Liverpool

Hii lovelies, hope you're all well. I'm back again with a date related post, for todays post I am going to be discussing places to go on dates within Liverpool.

There's so many options to go in Liverpool so planning a date is difficult and you really need to stand out, you need to think out of the box.. no matter what number date it is.

WALK ALONG ALBERT DOCK
The Albert Dock has a whole choice of ideas for you and so many different varieties, no matter what kind of date you're on or kind of person you're with they're bound to have a good time. And with the views, who can complain really?

BREAK A SWEAT AT COMEDY CENTRAL
What better entertainment is there than a bit of comedy and it's a good way to just sit down and relax. There's nothing better than having a good laugh and it'll calm you if you're feeling little nervous too, only downside is you'll find it hard to top their jokes afterwards.

GET LOST IN THE MERSEY
Maybe you and your date are a little more adventurous.. kayaking is perfect for you. What better way to get to know each other than when you're trying to row across the Mersey and if you don't like them you can always throw them in.. it's a win win.

WALK ALONG THE TERRACE AND FOOD

The terrace is such a beautiful place to go, especially in the summer and sit on the grass with a little picnic or have a drink in one of the many bars.

Tired after all the walking around and need some food in you, where better to go than TGI's and it's reasonably priced? You can't go wrong with TGI's and if you get to sit next to the window you can see the views as well, eating tea together is the perfect way to just sit and chat to your date.

I also highly recommend BILL's it's perfect for whatever time of day and the food and drinks is just to die for your date will thank you for choosing to go there.

SEEING THE SIGHTS

There's always something going on at the River Mersey, from Queen Elizabeth coming to visit to Festivals so you don't want to be missing out on any of it. Also, can we just appreciate how beautiful the Liver building actually is?! If you don't want to stand around there or nothing is going on that day, how about jumping on the bus and seeing all the sights from up high perfect for you bloggers or photographers out there.

WALK ALONG THE BEACH

Crosby Beach is only a short train ride away, why not go stroll along there on a nice summer day or watch the sunset go down whilst sitting on the sand-dunes or on the steps enjoying a melting lolly-ice from the ice-cream truck. You can even dress up the iron men up if you're feeling jolly and watch the ships go past.

AFTERNOON TEA

There's so many places to go for afternoon tea you'll be stuck for choice and some you don't even have to book you can just go on the day and enjoy it so it's perfect for a spontaneous day out. The food is perfect for everyone's tastebuds there's never a sandwich or cake there that no one likes and heads up if you go Scones on pronounced Scones not Scowns.

SEAL IT WITH A KEY

Last but no means least, you could have had many dates now and are celebrating an anniversary perhaps or just feeling the love, why not go down to the lock bridge and put your own lock on there and mark it with you and your dates' name. It's a way of showing them that you care.. most will probably prefer Paris but this will do.

Hope you all enjoyed this post, if you have any more suggestions or i've not mentioned somewhere you like to go on dates let me know in the comments !!

The Blogger Recognition Award

Hii lovelies, today's post is going to be a lovely post for 'The blogger Recognition award'

The beautiful Katherine over at Millennial Rants tagged me to do this post. I couldn't wait to do this post, so let's just go on with it shall we..

Here are the rules:

Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
Give a brief story of how your blog started.
Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
Select 15 bloggers you want to give this award to.

How my blog started
Well basically, over the summer I did an internship with College Fashionista where I was blogging about being a 'Style Guru' (where I also learnt I didn't wanna be a fashion blogger) I really enjoyed it and was proper thinking over in my head for ages whether I wanted to create my own blog, just about my own life experiences and basically a bit of everything life. Some of my friends in and out of uni had blogs, and so I just thought well, what have I got to lose really? It'll be fun and something to sort of help me de-stress away from uni work, I started off making a new twitter account purely for my blog and then created my first post on the 22nd September 2016!

Advice for new bloggers:
I would just have to say to write whatever you feel passionate about. The great thing about blogging is that you can do that, if you want to write something different to what you normally do then go for it. If you aren't enjoying reading it back then what makes you think your viewers will? Another thing i'll say is, to not expect to get 'famous' from your blogs if you're purely blogging sent free stuff then you're doing it for all the wrong reasons (in my opinion) and to not get down if you aren't getting any views straight away it takes time.

I don't actually know who to tag, as i'm sure by now everyone I follow have all been tagged and done there's. But if you haven't done it when you see this, go ahead and try it!!
Thanks for reading.

Storytime: Going Dutch

Hiii lovelies, today's post will be talking about 'gong dutch' on a date..

This is mainly related to what Loose Women was chatting about on their show on Wednesday (shoutout to them, as if they'll see this) it seems to be a 'generation thing' or 'what should be done' where the man/boy of the date pays the whole bill. I'm completely against this, i mean i have a job so why do i need someone to pay for me?! My brothers been with his girlfriend for 5 years now & when i asked who pays for the dates as they go for a lot of meals etc, he says that they take it in turn which i think is another great idea.

ANYWAY, getting back to my story. I was on a first date with a lad i really fancied and after the meal he got his wallet out saying he was to pay. I stopped him and said no, we were going to half it's what i've always done and i didn't feel right it only being first date and making him pay.. Like if i didn't like him and knew it was the last time i'd see him i'd make him pay lol.

So, i got my purse out and i only had card and he had cash so when the waitress came over i said i would pay on my card and just give me the cash. Well he THREW his cash at me, excuse me?! I felt so embarrassed as the waitress was stood there and she even looked at me like 'what has he just done'. I really liked this guy and had a great date and he's gone and done that? I was so appalled ngl.

It's fair to say i never saw him again aha, i don't see why he was so angry with me when it's just what i like to do i thought it was good of me to say go halves too??

Have any of you ever been in this sitauation, i'd love to hear about them.

Storytime: PDA experience

Hiii lovelies, it's another story time post about my dating life since they seem to be in high demand aha

This post is all about 'PDA' and my feelings towards it. I actually HATE it, i mean we've all been there knecking on whilst on the pull on a night out i actually cringe about those days now. But on a date? It feels even worse whilst you're in public space and all they wanna do is constantly kiss you, like i just ain't comfortable with that yeno.

So, on night outs with whoever i was 'seeing' i'd be kissing them without a care in the world of who was watching. Like, were in a club surely everyones doing it, but as i've gotten older i'm just like ew what was i doing? Actually makes me sick no one wants to see that.

Then whilst i was dating someone, we'd be out having drinks or at a meal and be holding hands which i don't care about it's the norm but when they start snogging me and people are staring it just makes me wanna hide under the table.. literally. I don't even know why i care so much about this, and about people looking (please tell me i'm not the only one). But we was once in a club and we were there properly early, so we were sat in middle and all bar staff could see us and all he wanted to do was snog me it just made me want to die!!

Don't get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with kissing but full on snogging in middle of a club is just a no go. What makes it worse is when you have clubs on snapchat and they go HUNTING for club kneckers ahah makes me feel so awkward, thankfully i've never been caught.. that i know of anyway.

This is a different to my other 'dating stories' but hope you liked it all the same.

What I Got For My Birthday

Hiii lovelies "i'm feeling 22" hehe had to put that in there. So, I thought I would just do a lil post on what my amazing friends & family got me for my birthday...

So, off my mum & dad i got a photo printer.. i always sound so weird saying that but i LOVE printing photo's off and i just cba paying loads for them yeno. So i actually chose this myself and then they bought it, but what i wasn't expecting was this little book (!!!) i love personalised gifts and it was so unexpected. I've made one of these for my friend before and they're just so original and cute.

I got this cute meerkat off my eldest sister, and my favourite animal is meerkat so of course i just fell in love. It even has it's own name.. i mean can it get any cuter?! It's so cool how she got it like i've never seen meerkat toys expect for like the GoCompare adverts it's so cuddly too. She also got me a lovely meal but being a bad blogger (and too hungry) i didn't take a pic but it was v.yummy.

This is off my other sister, i've always wanted a colouring book but never actually bought one it's so calming and therapeutic too deffo gonna help me with this final year of uni. She also cleverly thought about getting me colouring pencils too aha.. the BEST part about this present though is the sharpener. I mean just look at it, it's a sharpener that looks like a 'Rolliflex' camera.. my fav camera that i'll never get lol.

These are off my two friends in uni, they also got me the lightbox which i've wanted for AGES. They got me so many amazing presents i'm just in love with it all and can't wait to do my nails now or try a hot chocolate.

This is a present off one of my best friends on the course and she legit knows me so well, get me anything cat related and i'll love it (all my friends actually got me cat related cards lol) and the mug well just explains my life 24/7 basically.

These are all off my bestest pal.. again off my course aha. We've been mate for three years and she really does get the best gifts, they're all so personal too and a gal loves personal gifts. I even have pjs in the grumpy cat so these socks go PERFECTLY and they have that padding on bottom so no falling over for me. I just cannot wait to snuggle up with this cutest hot water bottle and all these snacks aha.

This is off my all time bezzy and again she gives me the most personal gifts.. knows me so well.  I cannot wait to read this book it's gonna be so helpful to me and interesting probably learn i've broken all the rules already. She also got me a coronation street colouring book.. Yes another colouring book AND IT'S CORRIE eep, i got too excited and took it back to uni with me before i actually took a pic. It's so cool it actually tells you about the scenes the photo is off highly recommend. I know you read my posts so THANK YOU M8 xox

So, i hope y'all enjoyed this post and got an extra insight about me and all the things i love.
