I Am Embarrasing

Hiiii Lovely's, how are you all?
For this post I thought I would share some embarrassing stories with you, I mean there's quite a few so i'm not gonna do all of them aha just something to make you laugh (maybe)

Asking for wrong maths test: okay, so basically it was my GCSE's and first of all I couldn't even find my desk like you get seated in your sets and alphabetical order well mine wasn't with my set? So i was like waahh i'm lost but then someone helped me and it was right at the front (!!!!). There was no test paper on it, so I asked for one.. little did i know i asked for a year6 test paper lol banter. So they couldn't find it and was like "you asked for wrong one, it's this one" this took up like 10-15 minutes of my test time AND everyone else in my year could see. Kill me.

Knocking on wrong toilet door: this probably sounds bare weird but basically, my mate was in toilets and some old woman came in and was like "the only free toilet has no toilet paper" so i thought i'd do a good deed and get some off my mate for her. I ended up knocking on wrong toilet but was proper banging, and shouting stuff and some woman came out and was like "when the doors red it means someones in there" i was like jeez obviously got wrong door soz.

Walking into wrong toilet: this kinda leads on from the last, cause this has happened twice (!!!) once i was drunk so yeno that ones excused.. but does anyone else get confused by the gender signs sometimes? I don't mean the signs but the people ones yeno where the lads in pants and the girls in a dress? no, okay, just me. Why does this confuse me so much?? Even one of them had the lad right across the door and I still walked in, i was super natural then realised there was urinals and there was a man there i was like EEEEP WRONG ONE.

Forgetting how to make tea: first of all i work in a pub and it proper annoys me when people ask for hot drinks like get a bevy fgs. But anyway, some couple walked in and was like "can i have a tea please" and i haven't even been taught how to use the coffee machine really but you'd think that tea would be straight forward, right?.. not for me. I went ahead and put the tea bag into the section where you would put the coffee capsule, but no tea was coming out(?!) so i was just like sorry it's not working. Then i later realised if i'd just put the tea bag in a mug and then added the hot water it would work, i drink tea 24 times a day you'd think i'd know by now. Wow just don't ask me for tea aha.

That's all i'm gonna share for today, i hope one of these made you laugh. Have you ever been in any of these circumstances? Please just say yes to make me feel better xo

Throwback to Paris | Paris Attack

So, it’s been a year since I went to Paris with my Uni Photography course (sob).

I'm just going to write basically what I was doing whilst in Paris at that time and my feelings towards it. Obviously, I was safe in a Hostel with my course mates and was no where as in danger as people being held hostage, but it was still such a terrifying experience being 10 minutes away from it all.

Friday 13th November
Now, this has always been an unlucky date but like my Mum & Dad got married on Friday 13th so i’m always like omg stop being so superstitious. Nah not anymore.

It all started AMAZING just like the other days cause I WAS IN PARIS!!! We went to Paris Photo which is a massive Photo exhibition and everything there was so good and was giving me such inspiration, my goal is to have my photo’s hanging in there one day. A gal can dream can’t she.

After we spent like 3 hours in there IT WAS MASSIVE. Me and some friends went off to the German Markets and up the Arc De Triomphe I highly recommend going up there too, it was free for students so you just have to really dont you. The stairs though, they’re all worth it. I have a fear of walking down stairs as I always feel like i’m going to fall, and there was about 1,000 if not more so I was walking proper slow and people behind me were getting proper aggy but soz aba me.

After our long day out we went back to the Hostel to get ready for the night as our Tutor had booked us at a restaurant for a meal, as a proper cute photography social how cute is that?? If he hadn’t booked this me and my friends would probably have gone Disneyland which we had booked for the Saturday instead.

ANYWAY, once we’d finished we were walking back to the Hostel and we saw police cars and was just like ohhh whats kicking off?.. We soon realised when we got to the Hostel.

People’s phones were going crazy off their parents saying that there had been bombings not even 10 minutes away from us, even saying there last goodbyes incase something happened to us. I never want to relive anything like this again.

Some of our course mates had stayed back in the restaurant so our tutor ran back to get them and they all came running back in. The hostel wasn’t even aware of what was going on until we told him about our messages from home, they were just as frightened getting extra security and before we knew it the hostel was on lock down. It all seemed so real, I just wanted to be home.

So that's when my Paris trip got cut short, instead of going to Disneyland on the Saturday we were getting the train home instead. We were so lucky to have been going home though, I don’t know how I would have coped having to stay there any longer than necessary with all this going on?!

I can only thank my tutor for taking us out for that meal on the Friday as if we hadn’t gone then, our course would’ve been totally separated and god knows what could’ve happened to any of us. It’s so heartbreaking for the people who were held hostage by ISIS too and all the families who have lost loved ones and had to go through this. My thoughts and prayers are forever with them, you should never feel afraid when going to a gig or meal it’s where you’re meant to feel your happiest.

So all I can say is, never take anything for granted because you never know when a moment could be the last. This seriously put life into perspective for me.

Storytime: Animal Abuse

Now this may be different to what I normally write. I normally try to be funny but sometimes you just have to get serious points across, and in life you can’t be funny ALL the time can you. However, I am really passionate about animal abuse. This isn't about animal testing or makeup etc this is just about humans deliberately hurting animals.

This came about because in August, my own cat was horribly attacked and ended up with a fractured jaw. If you follow me on any social media you’re bound to know just how much I love my gorgeous Tilly (i’ve also wrote a blog post about my pets which she’s of course mentioned in)

Anyway, whilst my mum and dad were away on holiday I noticed one day coming home from work that Tilly wasn't there to greet me. She's an outdoor cat, so her not being outside and waiting for me at the bottom of my path is really unusual she knows the sound of me coming and runs to meet me normally. I then started overthinking when i'd actually last seen her as i'd been working till late the previous days and so I started sensing something was seriously wrong!!!

My brother told me that he was sure he’d seen her just 1 or 2 days before in the house, and I just couldn’t think straight. I KNEW something was wrong, it was like a mothers instinct had struck inside of me and I just had to find her. I started posting on social media asking if anyone in the area had seen her, it may have seemed sudden but I know Tilly and something was seriously wrong.

I was doubting myself and thought maybe she's ran, maybe she’s seen the dogs and my parents leave and got stressed so just legged it. I then started thinking what if she’s just walked off to die like cats do, she’s not proper old but it was a possibility and it was running through my mind I just couldn’t cope.

Someone actually commented on my post though giving me some advice on how to bring her back if she had gotten lost:

"if a dog or cat has escaped from your home and has become lost, hang out clothes that you and your family have worn but not washed, along with their own bedding and bedding of other pets in your home. The scent will travel in the air, and they will hopefully be able to smell their way home."

I did this immediately. Tilly doesn’t have any bedding as she used to just sleep wherever she wanted in the house or outside sometimes, so I hung my clothes up as she's always attached to me. No lie, about 15-30 minutes later she was in my front garden. I genuinely flew down my stairs.

When I reached her I didn't even notice anything wrong with her until I placed her on the kitchen floor and realised her face was all mashed up. Tilly just wouldn’t eat and she couldn’t even drink, I thought she had no eyes and no teeth.. turns out she still has all her teeth and eyes but her jaw was fractured.

Unfortunately I was having to leave for work but my brother came home and took her straight the vets where he got told they were doing x-rays and if there was nothing internal she’d make a full recovery once she’d had her mouth operated on.

It turns out she was kicked in the head and has just ran off somewhere where she lay in a bush obviously lost until she smelt my clothes. I like to think it was my smell that brought her back, we really do have a bond and this is why I never understand when people say dogs are better than cats they're just the same you don’t understand!! I’ve got both and seriously they both act the same around me, cats can still be as dependant and clingy as dogs.

I just don’t understand how anyone can go around kicking cats or any animal? Like Tilly was the most timid sweetest cat ever and now she's even more timid she's terrified of EVERYONE. I just hate people.

When inside with us she does still go into 'kitten mode', she's still got the metal bar in her jaw to keep it in line as we refused to get it taken out as it wouldn’t be fair to put her through another operation at her age and when she acts like it's not even there anyway?!

The good news though is that Tilly is perfectly healthy and if we’re lucky enough she’ll still have a good old few years left in her. If you have cats just make sure to keep them inside at night especially as its getting darker, you don’t know what kind of yobs are around these days. I live in a proper sneaky side road and this still happened, so don’t think because your roads hidden it wont happen because you just cant chance it.

Storytime: Dating Disaster

Stuck Up Simon

This is a story about one of my worst dating disasters imaginable. I've never told anyone in such detail about these dates and my family don't even know I go on dates.. Do you see how secretive I am??? I've changed his name to Simon for anonymous reasons & he's called 'Stuck up Simon' for reasons you'll soon find out. (hope he doesn't see this how awkward would that be)

First Date
I met Simon on Tinder back in 2015, this is the first & last time I will use tinder or any other online dating site to find a date. Online dating isn't my thing. Me and Simon were talking for a few weeks until he asked to take me on a date. I asked to see a photo of him first on snapchat so I knew he wasn't a catfish or mad murderer.. safety first and all that (even though we had followed each other on Instagram) he thankfully looked the same so I accepted.

One Friday evening in May, Simon picked me up from my house in his flashy BMW. I KNOW RIGHT!! & he was only 19. He had told me to dress smart/casual for the date (every girls nightmare) when we were driving into town, I asked where it was we were going. He said San Carlo.

YES SAN CARLO!!! The most expensive and extravagant place in the whole city & theres me in flipping jeans. My heart actually sank, I mean how could I even afford that for a start? So I started protesting how we couldn't possibly eat there & he accepted to try somewhere else.

We drove towards the Albert Dock.. did you know that BMW have their own car park that cost about £200 a month? cause same. I opted for TGI'S in Liverpool One, I could already tell our worlds were different, but he didn't seem to mind just yet.

When we were there eating away at our chicken, we were just talking getting to know each other and a couple next to us definitely knew we were on a first date and kept looking at us LIKE CAN YOU MAKE ME ANY MORE NERVOUS? The bill came and I said we should go half, i'm an independent woman who don't need no man to pay for my food. However he whacked out a £50 note and said he was paying. Excuse me?? i'd never even seen one of them before and still haven't used one! (except online maybe lol)

After our meal, one of the Queen Elizabeth boats was in town so we went over to look at that and some projection was being shown on buildings whilst music played, which was cute. After that, there was also a firework show from the middle of the River Mersey, how cute is that for a date setting though?!

Second Date
Four our second date, it was more of a hang out completely different to our first. Simon wanted to go to Ikea to get some furniture and office essentials for his new office in the Albert Dock, he was literally a fifty year old man in a 19 year old body. So I went along to help.

I basically just walked around pretending I had a clue, looking for shelves that wine would look good in? err maybe my fridge shelves ;) his job was something to do with wine, idk really I just heard wine. I noticed that he was on his phone a lot but thought he could have a list or something and put it to the back of my head. Like I said, it was only the second date we weren't anything serious. (so clingy lmao)

After we had put everything into his car, which was a hard effort let me tell you. My mum had text asking me to go to the shops to get some food essentials, Simon kindly said he would drive me to the Asda. Whilst I was putting food in the basket, he started judging me for how much food I was getting. Like no one judges my food intake or my family. Bearing in mind I'm a family of 6 and he's a family of 2 obviously it's going to be different. Idiot.

Third Date
Our third and final date lol. Simon text me asking a nice little cafe we could go for some dinner near mine so I suggested MOOSE which is delicious. He picked me up and started faffing around trying to find somewhere to park asking me where I normally park 1. I don't drive & 2. it's 20-30 minute walk away from mine I ain't lazy thanks. PLUS his swanky car could deffo park itself anyway.

We both ordered some sandwiches but instead of talking, he was just sat there on his phone talking about some meeting he was going to in London. He even rang the person running the meeting up and sat talking to them for 10-15 minutes NOT what you do on a date (lads take notes) He then started moaning about the traffic and looking it up on google maps, I literally felt like I was sitting with my dad. It was so rude considering my phone was politely on silent in my bag too.

As if things couldn't possibly get any worse, he started questioning me about Uni and saying how pointless it all is wasting time in uni when he could just be running his own business like he is now. Sound. Go back to your fifty year old life then bye x

The next thing I see is that on his Instagram he was actually away with some girl and was 'in love' with her (!!!). Like why couldn't he have just told me that instead of making me sit through his exhausting moaning about flipping traffic and how perfect his business is. He still goes around liking all my Instagram photos though & i'm just too nosey to delete him.

So here's my little rant about my worst dating disaster. Have you had worse dates than this please let me know, also let me know if you want me to do more like this I have plenty lol.
